Cut weeping what appears to be water

My sister got a cut on the top of her foot two days ago, it is only about 1/2" long. It is weeping, not blood, but a clear fluid that runs down her foot. She can not keep a bandaide on it because she said it is to wet. There is no redness, no swelling, no odor, no sign of infection. She is not diabetic. Any ideas? Should we worry about this?
