Sunlight/UV Sensitivity

Alright, so. In the summer when the UV gets stronger and the heat begins to rise, my skin and I don't get along.

My whole life I have experienced this, and so far no diagnosis but to take steroids to relieve the itch.

If I am exposed to sunlight (usually only in the summer/spring unless a warm winter day) for even five minutes, I will begin to develop a severe itch anywhere exposed, even some unexposed. I scratch and scratch and little red bumps form in patches here and there, like hives but smaller.

The itch lasts as long as 24 hours, and nothing topical has ever helped. Not even steroid ointments work.

Along with the itch my skin becomes very warm, my ears get red. Of course scratching causes red patches, but these ones stay with me for days. The lightest scratch will become a red patch.

Sometimes I even dunk myself in a cold bath to relieve the hot feeling and burn from scratching it.

Anyone ever experience this or have ideas?
