Exzema or Pityriasis Rosea?

I am a 18 year old male who has had a skin problem for the past 3 years at least. I have these brownish/reddish blotches around my chest/neck/back/legs/upper thighs area. I also have a huge brown spot in the middle of my back. It's about the size of my hand. I use this cream aquaphor on it, and after a few days use of it they spots begin to lighten and disappear. But they come back a couple months later after discontinuing the cream. Whenever it's humid, warm outside and these blotches seem to get very dark and red. Also when I get out of the shower they seem to be pretty dark.

Sunlight has helped lighten/make these spots disappear, but then again they come back not too long after.

The symptoms I have read make me believe it is Pityriasis Rosea, but it says that doesn't typically last very long. I have had these spots since I was 14-15 years old, on and off.

Is there any real treatment to this? I am embarrassed by these spots and I never want to take my shirt off because of this.
