 Itchy skin around eyes
Hi,
I've had itchy patches around my eyes for 10 months. It comes and goes but is starting to get to me emotionally now.
It started last July with a dry scaly red patch on the lower lid of my right eye (inside corner). It itched like crazy so the pharmacist game me some camomile cream. That didn't work and the patches spread to my upper lids.
Sometimes, my skin would even crack and become inflammed. My doctor gave me doublebase cream. . . again that didn't help.
Anyway, I've now also tried steroid cream and hydrocortisone cream. They help for a day or so and then it's back. The patches are starting to make me look OLD and i'm only 30!
I'm going to scratch my eyes out at this rate!!
I have an underactive thyroid and during my last blood test the doc tested my Vitamin B12 level. This came back within normal range (263 ng/L, range 180-900).
I don't know what else to try. I've changed all my make up products, shampoo, moisturiser etc and nothing is working. Does anyone have any suggestions?
