Post ANY advice for bikini line scars?

i went crazy trying to wax my own bikini line for the last year or so and now i have scars from ingrown hairs i've tried to pull out. i imagine that is a hard area to heal since it doesn't get much air. is there anything i can put on them to make them go away? it's not exactly attractive...

You must have read my mind because I came here to post this exact question!

I had my bikini line waxed professionally in June and now I continually get deep, painful ingrown hairs - and consequently I have dark purple scars along my bikini line and inner thighs. It looks hideous! The discolouration has hardly faded even though some of them have been there several months!

What will help fade these scars? Please, someone help, it's awfully embarrasing.

i read that vitamin e molecules are too big to penetrate the skin so it doesn't help. what about rose hip oil? somebody mentioned that, but i've never heard of it.

Ok, don't know if this will be of much help to you or not...there is a product called Tend Skin (available at beauty supply stores) that's supposed to be great for ingrown hairs. As far as fading those ugly purple scars, I'm not sure if this will help or not. I would also love to know what would work well, as I have a few scars from electrolysis under my chin.

Thumbs up

I've had the same problem for a couple of yrs, but I notice the scars go away eventually. Especially during the winter mnths when I don't have to wax as much down there. I know how you guys feel, none of my friends seem to have this problem, its pretty embarrasing. What you need to do is prevent the scars from happening. I've been using TENDSKIN and moisturizing morning & night. Also, by squezing the ingrowm & tweezing the hair out but only if its ready, afterwards applying tea tree oil. This really seems to work! For me its the best answer so far, good luck!
