| Chronic rash and hives treated, itching gone 4 hrs

I have been reading healthboards posts for years. I have or should I say had a rash and hives for 20 years. I was diagnosed with celiacs and some food allergies. I cut gluten out of my diet. It helped a lot, but I still had horrible horrible skin. It often felt like my skin was burning and would blister and ooze. Several years ago I got food poisoning and was treated with promethazine. When I pulled my head out of the toilet finally and lookedin mirror, all the hives were gone. Like totally gone for first time in years. While there are side effects associated with the drug, after a few days of being tired, I feel no ill effects. I have been on spironlactone on and off. At the time of the food poisoning, I was on it. Since then, I have taken at times one or both of the meds. Its the combo that is a miracle for me.The combination stops itching in a few hours. Hives are gone by morning. Healing takes a few days. Its an absolute miracle cure for me. My skin is normal. Totally normal.... My primary doctor has issued with promethazine. I just spent the last 2 years itchy and in pain. I forgot how well those meds worked because I was told they were not an option. When I decided living like this was not an option, I went to a specialist who understands and feels promethazine isnt that bad. It is a nonprescription medication everywhere in the world except the US of course. For me it is letting me feel beautiful and normal, something that the hives took from me years ago. If I had not found a good doctor who realizes steroids and creams are not the solution.... I would have gone to Canada and study my suitcase full of promethazine!
I hope all of you suffering will find something that makes your life and skin normal. Nobody should have to live with chronic rashes and hives.
