    Sleep Disorder - Insomnia maybe?

    Hi,

I have been experiencing difficulties getting to bed and falling asleep before midnight (I say this because I used to naturally fall asleep before 12 2-3 years ago). I discover myself to be quite active and completely awake up till 3AM, sometimes even till 5AM, even if I am still lying on my bed with my eyes closed. As far as I can remember, I started having this problem ever since I returned to the UK from Nepali because I was on a holiday back in 2014 so yes it has been almost a year now!

Up till today, I have had a habit of waking up at around 10-11 AM. I have tried to forcibly go to bed at a much earlier time but it hasn't helped. I tried listening to soothing music as well but it doesn't work. I am not currently taking any medication.

Any thoughts on why this might be?

are you anxious about something? Deep breathing techniques can help. breathe in while focusing on your stomach. exale and completely empty the stomach.

Anxious... you say, huh? Well, I am glad you asked!

Honestly speaking, I think I may have an anxiety disorder for the last couple of years and to a tiny degree, mild depression too. Goodness! I am spilling all the beans here... Umm, thank you for the tip on deep breathing but I have tried that in the past but it has not been successful.
