Anybody need IV meds to sleep during sleep study test?

I take 2 drugs to fall asleep each night but they don't work. I am going to have a sleep study test next year for excessive snoring (according to my husband who now sleeps in our guest bedroom), insomnia, possible lack of REM sleep, grinding teeth and insufficient sleep, but am worried they will need to have an IV in me to inject me with drugs to get me to sleep so they can receive data. Because I am on pain medication for chronic sharp pain, I can't get to sleep every night. I will be awake several nights in a row until my body shuts down from exhaustion. I would feel better if they gave me an IV and injected medication because I don't want to waste my high copay if they don't get any useful information out of the test. I am disabled and can't afford 2 tests. Has anyone else had that problem?
