    Excessive sleep

    Is it common for someone to sleep for 4 days while sick in the hospital? No sedation, gets morphine prn. Has c diff.

    You have an infection. Sleeping helps your body heal it's self, so yes, it is very normal to sleep that amount in the hospital or at home when you have an infection.

    This is not a sleep disorder

    Are you also on antibiotics? Yes, normal to sleep a lot, and morphine will cause you to sleep as well.
