    Sleep paralysis?

Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but I haven't found anything online relating to what I get yet.

So, I take naps in the afternoon sometimes, when I'm tired. I wake up from a nap, feel immediately very sleepy, and attempt to go back to sleep. As I fall into that midway state between sleep and consciousness, my body freezes and my breathing gets shallow. I have to physically struggle to unfreeze myself. I don't see any hallucinations or anything. And when I do free myself, I immediately feel sleepier than I normally do, and it's extremely easy to fall back into the paralysis state.

Can somebody please tell me what's going on, and maybe how to get rid of it? Thank you.

Please talk to your doctor and request a sleep study. If you are truly asleep, you would not know what was happening to your body- its important that you are observed while sleeping to see what is happening.
