Haven't slept in a couple of months

I went off Zyprexa, 2.5mg, right before Thanksgiving, and I don't think I've slept since. Help!

Could be withdrawal issues of Zyprexa...sometimes even after physical withdrawal is over, symptoms remain intil the brain can readjust. Sleep meds actually worsen pre-existing insomnia by disabling the brains natural sleep chemicals even further(dependancy) and it's built in defense against chemicals(tolerance) causes even a more complicated problem as downregulation or desensitization of receptors occur.

It's possible you have slept but just are not aware, mainly because you could be in too much stage 2 while you sleep (in stage 2 you can still hear noises and full awaken easily). It might take awhile to get back the deeper stages of sleep. I'd try natural methods, or maybe some OTC sleep aids which are simply antihistamines for awhile but I'd consult a doc if it goes on too much longer without some noticable change.

However, sometimes natural sleep will take it's sweet time to completely come back to what would be considered normal sleep, so be patient.
