Do you think my bf is lying? He says he has insomnia since young. he is in his mid thirties now.?
He kept telling me he is very tired, hasn't slept for weeks. That he has tried many sleeping pills, worked at first but not anymore. He says he thinks it is because it is too hot in his room, there is no air con. When we were overseas in the hotel room, he slept even faster than me and i could hear him breathing deeply so I knew he was sleeping. For three nights, he slept. So I couldn't help but wonder has he been lying to me? so that he can find an excuse not to go out with me. he has been taking leave because he said he was too tired.

Re: insomnia

People can suffer from varying degrees of insomnia for decades. Sometimes the insomnia can be worse than other times. People often talk about sleeping better when they go on vacation because they are away from the stresses and routine of daily life that has contributed to the insomnia.

It's very, very common for people with insomnia to take a sleep medication and it works for a few nights, weeks, months and then just quits.

If he says he has insomnia, he probably does. And it's a hard thing to understand if you've never had insomnia. Most people have no idea how horrible it is because they themselves have never gone days without any sleep or just a few hours here and there for months or years.
