Quit for Lent

Did anyone else out there quit smoking for Lent? Today is ONE MONTH of not smoking -- in case you weren't keeping track!

Re: Quit for Lent

Congratulations on your quit REnglish!!! That's fantastic!!!

No, I could never have quit for Lent. I had to quit for ME, and that was a tough decision point to reach. However I'm happy to say I did it. Over 35 years of smoking was way too much.

If you quit for Lent, then power to you. Quitting smoking is one of the best things you could have done for yourself. HOWEVER, I do not recommend going back to smoking when Lent is over!!! If you really want this to work, then you can never take another puff.

Best of luck to you!!!

Re: Quit for Lent

Congratulations on being smoke free for one month!! Way To Go!!
I'm wondering too, like Kevin, are you planning to go back to smoking after Lent is over? I sure hope not. What method are you using to quit? Cold turkey, nicotine replacement therapy, Chantix, other? Keep us posted as to how you are doing.
I've been quit for 7 months 1 week.

Good Luck to you!!
