Question ? Symptoms of cord compression?

I have rt eye lid drooping and get numbness in left thumb, index finger, and middle finger. Someone told me this could be due to brain stem nerve compression - does anyone know if this is true?

I'm sorry you are having these symptoms. I am very new on here and don't have enough knowledge to answer that. There are a lot of good people on here, someone should answer soon. Have you had an MRI, I think that would need to be done to confirm, there may be some other cause??? I have cord compression with similar symptoms but no eye involvement. Good luck with this. Let us know how you get on.

I also am too new on here to give good advice. But I agree with HappyMommy1, an MRI is probably necessary to figure this out. Have you seen a doctor? Depending upon your insurance, you might need to get them to refer you to a neurologist.

You could have Horner's syndrome. It is one possibility for causing droopy eyelids (ptosis). Myasthenia Gravis is another cause. I have ptosis in both eyes and I'm pretty sure it's due to a compression of the spinal cord in my neck.
