    Smile my back

I had surgery March 27, 2015. Cervicle spine fusion, recovered well in December. Next, 5 level lumbar fusion, ten screws, after the first (2 weeks of hell &#128552 doing much better. I walk for pain relief, all body functions are slow but progressing. On percosets, but, only have to take 1 every 6 hours, sex life returning, can cook, sweep, bath now standing up. Wearing a full back brace. Move slowly, we cannot fall. Importantly, eat a balanced diet, lose weight if needed. I wuld love to hear from others that have had multi level back fusion, because i know I still have a long way to go. The jury is still out, but, I had a great neurosurgeon. I know I will not be able to return to work as a brickmason. Sadly, I have applied for disability &medicaid. Still some pain but tolerable. I wish all a speedy recovery, and success can be measured by less pain and better motor skills. Before surgery I could not use my arms, extreme pain (neck), loss of leg movement and chronic pain (back), I can walk now less pain, and have use of my arms. Pray for no setbacks. Have my first post-op xray is next week to see if my fusion is working. I also have a bone growth stimulater.
