    Exercise after acdf surgery

Hello all. I had an anterior fusion c7-t1 on May 26 ,my discharge nurse reminded me to walk about 10 minutes every day or as much as I could tolerate .Has anybody tried a stepper for strengthening the legs or would that
work the neck. I am having a lot of weakness in my calves like shaking when I walk or my left leg giving out on me. It is hard for me to get out because I am on driving restriction ,but I have a portable stepper at home. My bedroom is upstairs and I can feel my legs trembling as I go down. I am also having so much pain in my shoulder and right arm ,I guess nerves are waking up. Any of you did any exercise besides walking after surgery.

    Thanks in advance

    capatga,

Stretching can help strengthen your calf muscles. Stretching can help with muscle cell memory. You might want to "live" on your first floor while you recover.

Thanks I know ,sometimes when nobody's home I have to go down. The problem I'm having now is this excruciating pain from my right shoulder to the middle finger , I have Tylenol #3 but it does nothing, also will stretching help me get my voice back ? I feel a throbbing in my neck and throat.
    Thanks for the tip.
