    2 Weeks Post Op

    Hi All,
Havent Posted In A While Due To Pain Etc. I Had My Revision Surgery On 2/25/2004. Acdf C5-6-7 With A New Acdf C4-5. Dr Cammisa Did My Sugery And He Is Wonderful And A Very Gifted Man.
He Removed My Old Plate A C5-6-7 And Found A Non Fusion At C7 And At C6 Found Compressed Nerves. So He Put In A New Plate And Repaired The Levels. At C4-5 I Needed A New Acdf And That Was Also Done. He Used Interbody Cages Along With My Hip Bone With Marrow taken. Just A Note To All...... I Had An Mri And Cat Scan And Neither Showed Any Problem At Ct C6 Level. So To All That Have Had Test That Came Back Ok, Listen To Your Body And Seek Further Treatment. I Saw 6 Different Surgeons Prior To Dr. Cammisa.
I Am Still Having Some Pain But Have Faith That It Is Healing Pain. I am also still taking my pain meds.
The surgery took 5 hours and I was in the hosp. for 3 days. I did get Thrush from the antiobiotics but it is under control right now.

    Hugs To All
    Lori

a nuerogenic bladder is when the signals from the brain/spinal cord become compressed.I think that is the correct explanation. Any spinal web site will have a description and explanation. I cannot urinate normally at times meaning the "flow" is extrememly slow especially in the morning. I can go all day without going!!!!!!!!!This condition is more favorable towards lumbies but does happen to cervies. Since my 2/25/04 surgery I have noticed that it has gotten much better. I was put on flomax which I took once and will never take again. They made me dizzy and weak. So they went into the garbage pail!!!!!!
    Hope this helps
