My Moms x-ray result please someone interpret it for me

my mom experienced for the last few weeks some back and arm pain and finally she had her doctor check her out and below are the x-ray results (please some interpretation plsssss)

Posterolateral Spurs are noted at the level of c5-c6, bilateral and c3-c4 on the left, with encroachment in neural foramina

Anterior spurs are noted at the level of c4, c5 and c6

Facet joint hyperthrophy is noter at the level of c3-c4 and c5-c6 on the right.

slight narrowing of c5-c6 disc space noted.

    no other remarkable finding

    IMPRESSION:
    Cervical spondylosis as described
    Rule out Disc Disease, c5-c6

please someone explain in the simplest manner and some advice on giving additional care, the doctor has prescribed medicines that are very expensive... and he said after the medicines and the pain wont still go away my mom has do under go MRI (what is MRI?)

Her spine has some bone spurs that may be pressing the nerves in her neck causing pain - at c5/6 probably shoulders and arm on the side effected,

MRI - magnetic resonance Imaging - non invasive (no radiation). Usually takes about an hour and shows many angles allowing soft tissues (ligaments, disk, muscle, blood vessels) to be seen depending on what they choose to scan. Nothing to worry abut with this test. Xrays mostly show bone (poor images of soft tissues).

The xray report doesn't seem that bad. As we age our spines degenerate some.
