Question Do hot tubs help you?

We just bought a pretty deluxe hot tub with custom neck/shoulder/back etc...jets. It's coming next week. Physio suggested it for me. I'm so looking forward to it.

Please tell me if your hot tubs help you much & how often you need to use them for best results.

    Thanks,
    Jackie

I'd like to hear how it works for you once you get it.

Baths, hot tubs, jacuzzis, etc. are off limits for my first two weeks post op. Apparently, the heat can actually change the consistency of the material in your spinal cord, result in less efficient conduction of nerve impulses. I found that to be an odd but interesting post op limitation.

LOL I make my own every single night. Fill the tub up as hot as you can stand it, then wiggle something like a hand, it helps sooooo much. So very much.

I don't know about a hot tub, but almost nothing feels better than a blazing hot shower as soon as I get out of bed in the morning. I stand under it so the water beats down on my neck and shoulders and upper back, for like five minutes, and step out of the shower feeling like a new woman. =)
