Need Help With Test Results

Hi everyone,
I have had cervical studies an MRI an an EMG. I am confused with results.
The EMG studyImpression:
Polyradiculopathy affecting perdominately C7 nerve root and to a less extent
C4 nerve root of the bilateral upper extremities and cervical paraspinals, right greater than left.

Ther MRI Impression: Moderate Degenerative disk disease at C3-C4, above the level of fusion with a minor posterior disc bulge and mild underlying spinal stenosis present, no evidence of nerve root impingement. The cervical cord is unremarkable without evidence of myelopathyy or syrinx formation.

I don't understand how one test can show cervical radiculopathies and not show up in the other test. I have been told by a couple of doctors that they only go by the MRI test results any how.(if this is the case I wonder why they even have you do the EMG studies.)

If anyone can help me sort this out I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

In simple terms, "radiculopathy" means there is something going on with a spinal nerve root(s). But that something doesn't necessarily have to be because of current nerve root compression. Have you had a previous EMG?
