mild neuro foramina impingement and flattening thecal sac

If the nerve is mild then why is it so painful. It is my c6-c7 and my shoulder hurts so bad and my hand. I would hate to have moderate or several nerve compression.

Is it common for mild neuro formamina nerve problems to cause so much pain. I have had back problems for a while but my lower back was severe. My neck seems minor but is really hurting the same intensity as my other problems in the past.

    Can anyone explain. Jason
