Re: loss of normal cervical lordosis

Fibromyalgia and cervical spine problems have NOTHING to do with each other. Fibro is a possible pain disorder(still being researched after over 30 years). A loss of lordosis in you neck means you are slowly losing the normal inward curve in your neck usually due to degenerative disk disease. In other words, the disks are drying out and getting smaller and the vertebrae are shifting their alignment so your neck is going straighter.

Eventually you may need surgery to put the curve back in your neck. I lost the curve in my neck and it actually started to curve outward(kyphosis) and it cause slipped disks and numbness in my arms and legs. I now have 2 titanium rods that are curved holding my neck in the proper shape and it much nicer to be able to hold my head up without pain.

Don't worry about fibro from your neck.

    gentle hugs...........Jenny
