Question husband is having a high risk level 3 acdf on Sept. 5?

He is 71 years old and a cardiac patient with stents and LBBB condition. Is there anyone on here around this age that has had this type of surgery. Should I be concerned/worried about complications. He will have a plates, screws and donor bone/allograft c4-5,5-6,6-7? Any information will be appreciated and how should I prepare for this post op? Thanks

Vickie I am 72 and I am waiting to see a neurosurgeon for a second opinion. Why don't you talk to your family doctor and maybe he will put your fears to rest. At the top of this page it gives you a list of things you need after surgery. Please let us know how you make out.((((hugs)))) pashie
