herniated disks and cont. problems

Its been 4+ weeks since I herniated 5 of my disks. Balance is worse, hands are dropping things . Shoulders arms back & hands getting tingling , burning sensations. as well as constant aches. Left leg won't lift or move to side anymore, like to enter side of cars.
MRIs show herniated disks in 5 areas. no nerve compression serious enough to warrant surgery. I can't sleep comfortably, can only stand for short periods of time and walking is a nightmare after 20-30 ft.
Yet Dr. says not in need of any surgery to repair. I am scared of another fall coming from poor balance. I have post polio and fibromyalgia and arthritis. Also just became diabetic at 62 years old.
Nothing is getting any better. Some areas are worse.Scoliosis & Lordosis make me fearful of physical therapy.Possible more harm than good. Last phys. ther. did no improvement at all after 9 weeks on leg previously broken.( now worse than ever in function since fall) Should I get another opinion, I saw ortho- surgeon. who opts for therapy.

Yes, you should get another opinion. I'm not saying the first opinion is wrong, but you definitely need at least one more....
