Deana, what great news! I'm so glad you are feeling so good and can be active! Boy, I can hardly remember how that feels! Here's a poem I thought you'd like:

    Meditation
    by Judi Armbruster
    There is a trail
    Down through the tall cedar.
    It goes to the River.
    The sun shines
    In shafts of gold
    And makes patterns
    On the Red Dirt.
    It glistens and dances
    On the Water.
    I sit on a boulder
    Flat and grey.
It is partway in the River.
    I feel warmth
    From the Rock,
    From the Sun,
    From somewhere
    Deep inside me.
I listen to the Water's Voice.
    It speaks to me.
    I feel Peace.
    I am Peace.
    All is sacred.
    I am sacred.
    Ha'a

You take care, and as Debbie said, don't be a stranger! We need help here holding hands!

    Deana,
Wow!! I was thinking about you today!!
Now here you are gracing us with your inspirational feeling great after surgery story!! i am so glad for you!!

You sound wonderful in all aspects of being!! physically, emotionally, spiritually!! Did you ever wear a brace while roller-blading?!!
so nice to hear from you.. please keep it up!!
    Catherine

    Hey Wing!!
what a wonderful poem! I was instantly transported to the red rocks of Sedona, AZ when I read it. Sedona is one of my special areas!! It is only a 20 minute drive for me & if I can say......if someone were to visit Arizona & they only had one day to see something, I would insist they forego the Grand Canyon
until the next time & experience the wonderful vortex
    phenomenon of Sedona!! BREATHTAKING!!!

I am really hoping that through this board, I will be able to extend a warm welcome to Flagstaff to any of the posters here!!!! Lotsa room!! with neck space!
Until later, Wing........keep that light shining!!
You certainly know how to brighten a girl's day!!
    Catherine

Naw...I quit wearin the strangler at about 8 days tho I did wear it when I went in to get my stitches out of my hip day 10.( from the bone graft)...I started driving at 10 days. No PT either !!..yippee !!. I went back to work FT 5 wks( 4 1/2 to five...dont remember how many days) I was still on full time full paid short term disability but to doc I wanna go back...so he let me but still left at at full til May 13th. You cant see the scar either..well its a little darker than the rest of my neck from the sun, but they told me that before hand that that would happen.
Heck at 5 1/2 wks I mowed the yard and my neighbors front yard...SO glad I had the surgery !!! forgot what feeling normal was like !!!

    And pretty cool poem !!!
