    PLEASE HELP!! Neurologist stumped.

Does anybody have enlarged root nerves of spine? I have it in all lumbar roots and all cervical roots. Doctor actually said she is stumped And is researching it. Trying to find some info myself. If anyone had had or heard of someone with this. She has spoken to quite a few neuros on this and says no one knows what it could be. Starting to get very nervous. Closer to scared. I still have two little ones to raise. Thank you

These enlarged roots were detected in an MRI? Is their enlargement resulting in impingement (and, therefore, radiculopathy) at some levels?

I have to say I'm as stumped as the neurologist, which is hardly surprising, as I'm an amateur.

I hope you can get to the bottom of this and let us know about it... good luck.

Thank you for your reply. No impingement or entrapment or compression. All exiting root nerves from cervical and lumbar are very enlarged. Thoracic spine is free from enlargements. Not inflammation as was MRI with contrast. So didnt appear to be inflammation.
Could be onion ball formation. Where there is damage and repair going on till nerve gets enlarged.
