    Revision acdf questions???

Hi all I had acdf surgery 12/12 and it didn't heal. I developed psuedoarthrosis. I am having revision surgery. I read that the pain is worse i just wondered if that was true and if healing is any different the second time around? I'm a bit nervous because I'm only 31 and would like to finally get this whole thing resolved. After the first surgery I was out of work 3 months then was able to go back without restriction ( it was a heavy lifting job ) I would like to go back at least that soon this time. When I went back last time I was there 8 months then off again in November 2013 again due to pain and been off ever since fighting for surgery. ( it's BWC ) So what are the differences this time versus first time? Thanks ;-)

    Re: Revision acdf questions???

I don't know if anyone can predict how one will react to a specific surgery. There are so many variables, within each surgery and even with one person having a revision surgery. I suppose some may have a more difficult time with revision, but that was not my experience. It may take as long to recover, but it probably won't be as painful.
