    Chronic Neck Pain

So I have been diagnosed with Cervical Spinal Stenosis and disc degenerative disease. In 2000 I had a ACDF at level C6-7. Then in 2012, I had a double ACDF done at C4-5 and C5-6. I continued to have pain, so my doctor did a foraminotomy about 10 months later. I was in OT for probably 9 months. Before the 2nd ACDF my right arm was virtually paralyzed. So after the surgery, it took a good 9 months to build up some strength in that arm. I was doing fine, but around June of this year, started having more neck pain. Went to my chiropractor, who has always thought that I have some kind of autoimmune disorder that keeps me from recovering once my neck starts flaring up. So in July of this year, I fell and broke my left elbow and right wrist. Had to have surgery on both of those limbs. Once my recovery from those injuries had somewhat healed, my neck has totally started flaring up. I probably gave it a pretty good jolt when I fell. So yesterday I had a Nerve Burn....my question is, What is the difference between a nerve block and a nerve burn? Any information on this would be appreciated. I am coming to terms with the idea that my neck issues are not ever going away. I must become very proactive on my treatment.....Thanks
