Post problem with a girl...

alright, i have a slight problem. i am a freshman in high school. ive liked this girl for about 5.. maybe 6 months, and i havent done anything about it. i am a very shy kid, thats why. but the point is, we are really good friends, but recently we have been getting closer. i want to date her, but i am afraid that if something goes wrong, i will ruin our friendship. and that would kill me...

Life is about taking chances. If you don't go for it, then you'll always be wondering, "What if..?" (Believe me, I've been there! ) Try feeling her out first, if you're too shy to just jump right in, maybe just by inviting her to the movie or something. Hope this helps you out a bit..good luck!

Trust me when I say "go for it!"

My freshman year there was this girl I had a HUGE crush on, but I was incredibly shy so I didn't ask her out. Then this year (I'm a junior) we were talking, since we're just really good friends now, and she said she'd really liked me too but didn't ask me out because she didn't think I was interested.

So what's my point? Take chances, because if you don't you'll probably end up regretting it.

viper is right.

Listen... you have to go for it. I'm a junior(HS), and i liked this girl since freshman year. Were both good friends, but i never had the guts to ask her out and am also afraid of losing our friendship. Trust me, it gets harder to ask the person you like if you wait like for 3 years like me. So go ask her out and not resent it like i am right now.

What's the worst that can happen? She declines, you are a little awkward but at least you know, she is a little awkward but flattered, then life goes on as normal.

What is the best that can happen? Well just look at someone like me. I started going out with my best guy friend almost 3 years ago, and now we are engaged =)
