I feel that working in a restaurant that you don't like would help you out in the long run. How?

1. It teaches you conformity, and how to be persistent and tolerable. It strengtens your work ethics.
2. You said your shy, probably exposing yourself to lots of people would help you alleviate your shyness.

At the age of 16, I don't think that's too young to work in an office. But do you mean Data Entry kind of job? Receptionist?

come on, shes a teen and it's an issue. What part of that is not a teen issue. Anyway, I did an after school course in business managment. That could really help you get a job in that area

Maybe you could do a community service class at your school. Junior year I did that and I had to pick where I wanted to work (I was 15). I want to be a doctor, so I went to my orthopedic, and asked him if I could do some community service work for him. He agreed, and for a semester, everyday, I'd work for 1 hour during school, typing, faxing, etc. at his office. Once my semester was over, he offered me a part time job starting at $12 an hour!

Check out if they have a communtiy service program at your school where you can find your own job. It was a blast! Good luck!
