weight lifter

Hello guys,
I'm currently 16 and have been lifting weights since I was 15, i have heard that doing squats and etc. can stunt your growth. Can you guys expand on what kind of exercises can stunt your growth and what other exercises can I do besides them that will work the same kind of muscles but not stunt my growth ?
Thanks alot

Re: weight lifter

I've never heard any kind of exercise can stunt your growth

Maybe the protien used to build muscles is taken from what should be used for growth?

IDK - But if thats true, then all lifting would have the same effect. Either positive or negitive.

I'd suggest talkin to someone who'd know. eg, doctor or health instuctor.
