    irregular cycle

I'm 15 and I've had my period for 3 years. Despite having it for so long, it is still not regular. I've had blood work done to check hormone levels and they came back normal. I can go anywhere from 2-6 months without a period. I'm am not sexually active. My doctor says i should be regular by now, and im going back in october. I was asked to write down any period i add from June - Oct. So far ive had one. What could possibly be causing this? Could it be fertility problems?

There could be lots of things causing your irregular periods. You're still only 15 and there's a good chance that there is nothing wrong with you. Or you could have an some unknown health problem that could cause you to have irregular periods. But I'm not too sure of that, b/c like you said, you just had your hormone levels checked. I am 17 and I still have very irregular periods. You should go see a gynocologist in any case. You could go on birth control pills, which will cause you to have periods every month.

there are SO many factors that can contribute to irregular periods....
Your diet, how much you exercise, your weight...etc and some girls are just like that forever!
3 years isnt enough to assume you should be "regular"......so for now just consider yourself lucky or you could go on a low dose birth control pill that will regulate them.
