    Facial Hair Color

Hi, I'm 16 years old, and i'm just a little curious about my facial hair, it grows normally like it should and everything, and i have enough to please me, but a few months ago i decided to grow a goatee, and it was successful, but i have blonde hair, so of course my facial hair is also blonde. but usually, from what i see from other people is that their facial hair is darker than their normal hair color, i've seen plenty of blonde haired men with dirty or dark blonde facial hair, a few of mine are dark, but most of them are very light and it kind of defeats the point of having a goatee if people have to get right up to my face to see it, wouldn't u think? so i was just wondering if there is anyway to make it darker, i've heard that shaving more frequently helps facial hair grow faster and thicker, i don't know if this is true, but i was wondering that if it is true, does that help it to darken in color maybe? or is it another one of those genetic things that i have no control over and will just have to deal with?

I dont know how true the myth about shaving stimulates growth is. But I very much doubt, infact I'd bet money, that it would have no effect on the color of the hair.

I dont think theres anything short of dying your facial hair, that would change it's over all color. Soz.

But look at it fro ma dif perspective. If you say its lighter then everyone elses, then its gonna be unique. Somethin only you have. And trust me, deep down, ppl will envy that uniqueness.

Actually the myth is true, shaving regularly does make your hair grow faster and thicker. If you shave your legs or arms I know that the hair will turn darker, maybe not instantly but after a while it darkens. Facial hair i'm not sure but I do know some of my friends who are about your age and they also have light coloured facial hair so it's not really anything that unusual.
If it's truly yours, you can let it go...
