heavy but athletic

I am 5'3.5'' and my weight goes around 128-130 lbs. I'm very athletic and do sports around 4-5 times a week. My glutes and legs are a lot bigger than other girls my age (15) even if they are athletic girls too. Am I doing to much muscle work and am I overweight?

Based on the numbers you gave, your Body Mass Index is 23.0. Although the BMI rating is not always accurate, it says your weight is normal. Muscle weighs more than fat so even if your BMI was high, you would still be normal since you have more muscle than others.

It is also important to remember that teenagers develop at different ages. You may have started developing earlier than the other girls around you. In the next year or two, you may notice the other girls catching up to you.

You are NOT over weight. I had the same problem as you. I'm about the same height, same age and same weight too. And i know what I look bigger and weight more not because I'm fat. It's because of the muscle. If your worried about the way you look and you feel bulky, try yoga or palates. I know that sounds super boring but apparently thats the way to go if you want to be slimmer all around.

Basically, to straight forwardly answer your question, Your probably just doing a lot of muscle work. I hope I helped you!

And remember: If you have more muscle than the other girl, that just means you can kick butt so much more. :P
