    Thyroid symptoms, but normal labs

I have a 2.5 cm nodule on my thyroid. I feel that I have had hypothyroid symptoms for a few years now, but my blood work always comes back as normal. Is it possible to have symptoms with normal labs?

It depends on what bloodwork is being used to determine "normal" and where your results fall in the range. There is controversy even within the med community re what tests should be used to measure thyroid function and how to interpret them. Many doctors test TSH only. Hopefully you've also had free T4 and free T3 levels measured. It would help if you could post your lab results and their ranges.

"Normal" is subjective. You have levels that are "normal" for your particular needs, just as you have one shoe size within the broader typical size range that fits your foot.
If you try wearing shoes that are too big or too small, you'll have problems... Just as you would if your T4/T3 levels are in the wrong places even within the reference range.
