    FT4 by Dialysis?

Hey guys.. can anyone explain the FT4 by Dialysis bloodwork? My endo suggested that it is a more accurate reading. Has anyone had it tested this way before? How were the results compared to standard FT4 testing?

    Thank you as always!

    I'm unsure.
What I think he means is that a free T4 measurement done by direct dialysis is more accurate than the test known as "free T4 index" or "T7".
He's absolutely correct. The FT4 index is an outdated test that arrives at only an estimate of free T4.
Direct dialysis measures the actual blood level, which is far better than a guess-timate!
