Loss of smell from Thyroid Disorder?

Searching for answers to my complete loss of smell? Could it be related to my thyroid disorder?
Thanks for any suggestions.

It's amazing how many possible causes there are, about 30 or more. Some are treatable and there are more serious causes that are not. But I have never heard of thyroid disorder being the cause.

I can tell you in general how it breaks down: It's either the nose itself or, less commonly, it may be the result of damage to the brain or nerves. With so many possible causes, it might be best to see your primary care doctor or specialist.
