hypot 8 year old

we can see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel!!! We just had my now eight year old daughter's 2 month check up at her endo, and good news her body temp is finally up to 98 degrees and most of her aches and pains are gone from her arms and legs, still has them occasionally, but the really good news is she has grown and 1/2 inch and has lost 1 pound. The endo really feels we might be on to something. She is currently taking cytomel 1 1/2 tabs a day. I asked him if he felt he was going to add synthroid at all and for right now he is happy with just the cytomel. He also is in no rush to redraw her labs, because she is so young and it scares her, he is having me just check her temps one or two times a month. Our next visit is in 4 months unless I start noticing a drop in temp, which he said could happen with growth, and then we might have to play with her levels a little but it sounds like good news for now!!!!Yeah!!!! Hope this is help for other parents with hypot children.

Thanks for sharing happy news! I hope your daughter continues to win the battle with her thyroid disorder. I can't imagine how hard it is on her (and you too!).
