hurts to swallow
I have been on synthroid for over a year and I have recently noticed that it hurts to swallow on a pretty consistent basis on the right side of my neck - I guess where my thyroid is. I use to think that I was just getting a sore throat - but this is much lower. It feels that something is putting pressure on that part of my neck - making it difficult to swallow. I have an appointment with my GP on Friday.....I am assuming that it has something to do with my thyroid - anyone else have this? And what should I expect?

Re: hurts to swallow
I am having the same problem. Last week I went to see a specialist, turns out the right side of my thyriod is enlarged and I have a very large nodule. Lots of tests were ran I won't know anything until next week. I did overhear the doc say I could possibly have Graves but I'm not going to jump to conclusions. I would definitly let doc know about your swallowing problem... :)
