Feeling very hyper for a hypo!

In the last month my TSH has gone from 1.51 to .51! And I am feeling too hyper! I am dropping my Synthroid from .112 back to .100. It seems the higher the Synthroid dose, the bigger the hunger and I get terrible salt cravings. Also - with the bigger hunger and salt cravings I gain weight!

I'm hoping that I will calm down soon. I don't like feeling like my head is going to come off. Being hyper is kinda scary!

I am currently battling slight hypo. I have been experiencing the same things you mentioned. But for me this is hypo.

what do your T4 and T3 look like?

    My T3, Total is 124
    T-3 Uptake is 31

    T4, Free 1.5
    T-4 Total 10.3
    Free T4 Index is 3.2

    TSH is .51

I can't figure out if I am manic from the Synthriod or if I am experiencing hypo or hyper symptoms?

Re: Feeling very hyper for a hypo!

You need to post ranges with the lab values. Without ranges the numbers don't mean anything.

I am not hypo. Nor have I ever taken replacement T4 or T3. But I have read that some people do better on different brands. Do you think you could get your dr to get you a trial of another T4 med?

Do not rely only on the TSH result to tell you if you are hypo or hyper. Look at the Free T4 and Free T3.
