Lightbulb Hey Midwest..latest labs

Need your thoughts, have not felt any different in spite of the differing labs, still no energy, tired etc. The only change is that I have had diarrhea and pain under my ribcage for about 2 weeks now. What do you think?

12/13/06 (Before TT, no meds)

TSH 1.0 (0.3 - 5.0)
FT4 11.8 (9.0 - 19.0)
FT3 not tested

3/30/07 (9 days post TT, 100mcgs for 7 days)

TSH 6.7 (0.3 - 5.0)
FT4 9.4 (9.0 - 19.0)
FT3 3.4 (2.6 - 6.0)

4/30/07 (100mcgs since last labs)

TSH 5.8 (0.3 - 5.0)
FT4 12.9 (9.0 - 19.0)
FT3 3.2 (2.6 - 6.0)

5/30/07 (125mcgs since last labs)

TSH 0.6 (0.3 -5.0)
FT4 16.9 (9.0 - 19.0)
FT3 3.8 (2.6 - 6.0)

I am on Oroxine which is Thyroxine Sodium, am I right in thinking it would be the same as Synthroid? Doc is away for a month.
Thanks for being here for all of us, you are a great help.

Re: Hey Midwest..latest labs

Yes, Synthroid is a brand of levothyroxine sodium. LevoT is the most-prescribed drug for hypoT.

I'm sorry you still don't have much improvement. That makes the labs sort of a moot point.

Your FT4 level would be a little high for me. It's possible it is for you, too, and that could cause the fast bowels you're experiencing. If it doesn't clear up soon, I would discuss a small dose reduction with the doctor. Isn't there anyone filling in for him during his absence?

Sorry I don't have any better suggestions, but I hope you get it all sorted out soon!

Re: Hey Midwest..latest labs

Thanks Mw Yeah I could see another doc but I am sooo tired of being treated like an idiot, for example have gained weight since surgery, doc said "happens to all of us as we get older" and I mentioned that my mother had adrenal problems (tumor) doc said "well just because she had it doesn't mean you do" etc etc

Do you think that with the high FT4 the FT3 should be higher?

Hope you are having a great day
