do you always need to treat an enlarged thyroid

Do you always need to treat an enlarged thyroid? I have been noted to have an enlarged thyroid on exam one year ago and on CT this week as an unexpected finding. I have had some symptoms so had my TSH checked last year and it was normal. My sister had a thyroidectomy for Graves and my mom has Hashimotos. I am having labs drawn next week.

Yes, you do need to treat enlarged thyroid (goitre).

Please post your lab results with the ranges here on the board when you get them so some of the more knowledgable members can comment.
