Live in Houston Dr. Ridha Arem

    HI everyone,

I'm new to this site. I have grave's disease and had RAI 8 yrs. ago. I also have been dx with adrenal fatigue. I'm 48. I have an app. with Dr. Arem in Sept. Has anyone been to see him or can tell me what they think?

    thanks,
    Mamie

I've been to him a couple of years ago. He ran all the right tests--bloodwork, ultrasounds, fine needle biopsies, and even my husband's uptake scan. But ultimately he couldn't help, as labs showed pretty much in normal range(we know what that means!), and I couldn't tolerate any meds back then, even though he was willing to try a low dose. I don't know for sure, but I don't think he'll address adrenal fatigue. I just wanted to relate my experience. There are a couple more people here who go/have gone to him, and hopefully they'll chime in.

I have also seen Dr. Gilbert Manso in Houston who will treat thyroid and did look for adrenal fatigue when I went to him. He is an MD that works with prescriptions and herbs, natural stuff. Just food for thought.

Neither. Dr. Arem was very expensive, so couldn't stick with him. I am seeing someone in Louisiana, as it's closer.
