Hi, I found the Kelp did mae.ke me feel more 'alert' etc when I took it - although not to the extreme that you describe. However, I have head it said that one must be careful with taking Kelp supplements as if you take too much it can 'throw' the thyroid into a complete tizzy, and it will crash, thus resulting in the opposite of the intended effect. This may be why you have heard about taking Kelp on and off.
