    ACTH suppressed--what does this mean?

Hi. I'm new here and have a question. I just started on Armour (2 days ago)for my thyroid issues, and while I was in there the doctor asked me if I have taken any steroids lately. I said no. He said my ACTH level is suppressed, not even registering. I am wondering if anyone knows if ACTC, a pituitary hormone, I believe, could be suppressed because I'm hypothyroid?? I do take Nasonex nasal spray twice a day for allergies, which is a steroidal nasal spray. I wonder if that could do it??
    Any advice would be wonderful.
P.S. Has anyone read, Stop the Thyroid Madness? It is a patient advocate book that just came out in 2008 and it is wonderful!
