dandruff on back of head and throat contrictions

my wife has been suffering from her throat which constricts also mucus and having a patch of dandruff on the back of her head. is this thryoid or hormone inbalance? can anyone help me ?

The throat constrictions sounds like it should be worked up. It's a pretty common sign of an enlarged or inflamed thyroid. Does she have any other hypo symptoms like fatigue, feeling cold or hot and weight gain or loss? Skin disorders are common and some report dandruff or very dry skin.
Has she seen a doctor and had her thyroid palpated? I would also recommend she get an ultrasound of the area as well as the proper thyroid blood tests; TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and the antibodies: TPO-Ab and TG-Ab.
This will rule in or out a thyroid issue.

thanks for the information,will see the doctor this week. she had been eating raw broccoli and cauliflower which we found out is not good for the thyroid. again appreciate the quick reply. Jack

Make sure if she gets bloodwork done to have it done before 8 AM. If she can, no food, coffee, vitamins etc. before the bloodwork!

The mistake I repeatedly made was getting it done well after 8 AM. My TSH and frees were skewed all over the place as a result. That made it much harder for me to get a treatment even though I already had the Hashi's diagnosis.
