Thyroid Scan result

I am in the middle of all kinds of testing and so far "standard" blood tests are normal but this is my thyroid scan result from serious is this?

Clinical: Fatigue, depression, hypothyroid. .

Comparison: None available

Procedure: Thyroid Ultrasound.

Findings: Thyroid gland is normal in size and echogenicity with the
right lobe measuring 4.5 cm x 1.1 cm x 1.3 cm and the left lobe
measuring 4.3 cm x 0.9 cm x 1.5 cm. Thyroid vascularity is normal.
At the superior pole of the right thyroid lobe there is an
ill-defined isoechoic/hypoechoic nodule that measures 4 mm in size.
No additional thyroid nodule or mass. No anterior cervical

Impression: Tiny 4 mm nodule within the left thyroid lobe.
Otherwise, normal ultrasound appearance of the thyroid gland.

Re: Thyroid Scan result

Sounds like everything is okay with the physical thyroid--your thyroid seems about normal size, and your teeny tiny nodule is nothing to worry about at this point---it's too small for any tests.

In terms of having hashimotos or a thyroid disorder, why don't you post your labs with the ranges, and maybe someone can help you determine if the labs are as normal as your doctors say. Perhaps you need some thyroid hormone to help with your symptoms.

Re: Thyroid Scan result

Thanks- Am really feeling physically ill....have been for a long time 2yrs with no diagnosis.
I have had to fight pretty hard to get the doctor to start testing for stuff......I would go in for feeling "not well" and come out with a prescription.... or a "normal bloodwork" and nothing.
The beginning of last week I finally feel like I am being listened to. I asked to include a cholesterol check with my thyroid levels and it came back way way high @270. I am only 5'7" 160lbs and only a stubborn tire around the waist 32". I used to be a runner up until 2-1/2 yrsago.
My doctor also found a report from a Brain scan I had done about a year ago because I was thinking maybe MS......the report was negative for MS but did note a cyst on my pituitary...which at the time was not really a conceren. I
I have a MRI tomorrow to check the pituitary and also a abdominal scan w/contrast.
I need to know what is going on??
