No, but I'll look forward to seeing the answers you get as this could me you're talking about. The only different is that I had a hemi in Jan. And I take Levo 50mcg and Lorsartan 75mg and recently had to add Amoph. as well becuase my bp won't stay controled.

As far as I know, there's no such thing as "liothyroxine". I assume you meant to type "liothyronine" throughout your question.

You're taking massive doses of liothyronine. Your original combo dose would be the equivalent of 250 mcgs levoT only. The higher dose would be a whopping 475 mcgs levoT only. That's almost unheard of. No wonder you were having BP and heart rate issues! Is this really a licensed MD prescribing for you?

The current dose is the equivalent of 362.5 mcgs. That's still extremely large. Is there a reason for such high doses? How is your symptom control other than BP and HR? I'd be inclined to want to get the FT4/3 levels a little more balanced.

yes, it is liothyronine, I was on 50mg & was still extremely tired,
brain fog,, so she doubled it to 100mg I did not notice any palpitations
or any other problem, but when she took my pulse it was high..

Re: hypothyroid and high blood pressure

hi, just a question on your doses. are you sure it is mg and not mcg, I only ask because i made this error myself and is easily done, if it is mcg it seems a lot more reasonable as a prescription dose. if it is mg then as midwest says 'is this really a licensed doc' !

your Bp is not unreasonable, in fact your diastolic rate looks great. your pulse is high and this might be due to the high T3 on your labs.

i am currently similar in labs to you, suppressed tsh (due to T3 which is normal) low T4 and high T3, i am being treated for high bp which was controlled but is now behaving very strangely along with some fairly regular arythmias. my doc doesnt feel my meds are causing this as I have been taking T3 for months now without issues and this is a very recent, but no matter the varying results I am still exhausted. and i do still wonder if it isn't the high T3! though i am about 90% in range you are outside of range high.

i hope you find some answers, and post them back here

I simply don't get his reasoning. The most sensible thing to do would be to stop trying to treat mainly with lioT and to adjust the treatment so it's mainly levoT-based. The high lioT dose might certainly be the culprit.
