    Stomach Flu & Hypothyroidism

    Hi Guys,

So I was in the 1st week of increasing my T3 (liothyronine) from 7.5 to 10 (and actually starting to feel improvements for the 1st time in a long time) and I was struck with the stomach flu. There was one day during the flu where I stopped meds completely as I felt like I was having hyper symptoms. I wondered if because i was unable to eat for a couple of days, if my body felt as though I had more meds in it's system because I had nothing to absorb them at all.

Th next day I went back on but to my previous dose 7.5 (and my standard 5.0 of t4). However, I have had a very hard time falling asleep for the past few nights and staying asleep. I take Trazadone to help me sleep and even that wasn't enough.

Have any of you battled the stomach flu with hypo and if so, what was your experience? Do you think my sleep will regulate itself once I am fully recovered as insomnia was never an issue before this.

All of this is extremely frustrating as right before the flu I actually started feeling a bit better after a long 2 yrs of feeling horrible.

    Thanks so much!
