Unhappy Hypothyroid test level ok. Still feel bad.

I am a 56 year old female. I have hypothyroidism. I am currently taking Synthroid 75 mg a day. My TSH is 1.96. My T4 is 7.6. My Free T3 is 2.9. Still feel tired. What do I need to do?

Welcome and sorry to hear you are still suffering from hypoT symptoms even with treatment.

It would be very useful if you could post the ranges for each lab result, though if I use the ones from my lab tests, you would simply appear to me to be under-medicated.

With the ranges I have, both your FT4 and FT3 would be below normals, I've also heard that most people seem to end up with a TSH lower than yours before feeling well.

Another piece of the puzzle might be to take T3 along with your T4 medication, but my first guess would be to work with your doctor to try and raise your dosage.

Others here might be able to confirm this and help you further, but I thought I'd give my first impressions. Once again this depends on if we're using the same ranges for these results (which I doubt if you say your levels are ok?).

Good luck on your way to feeling better
